ACCENT Intermedia has seen exponential growth since opening its doors in 2005. After launching two high profile gift card programs with Collegiate Licensing Company and Churchill Downs, the innovative start-up needed more staff and a larger space that reflected their hard-working, fun-loving corporate culture. ACCENT found the ideal solution in an 1880 railcar warehouse and furnishings from United Interiors.

Accent Intermedia
Case Study

Design Challenge
Squeezed into offices that were an awkward hodgepodge of old cubicles, stodgy desks, and chairs with torn fabric, ACCENT had two primary goals for their headquarters. One was to relieve the company’s space issue. The other was to provide a comfortable environment that was both professional and a little offbeat.

“At ACCENT, we say that we’re the point where technology and creativity meet. We wanted our offices to be as fresh and contemporary as our products, while maintaining the warmth and friendliness of our staff,” explains Andrea Crane, Vice President of Marketing.

The United Interiors Solution
ACCENT’s new 11,000 sq. ft. space features brick walls, tall ceilings, skylights, lots of windows, and plenty of room for the staff ’s favorite pastime – racing remote control cars. “Our corporate philosophy is work hard, have fun,” says Ms. Crane, “and our new offices let us do just that.”

Evoke and Prevail private offices in an Espresso finish enhanced by platinum metallic details create a contemporary, but warm look. Xsite workstations with fabric, metal, and glass tiles complement the architecture, enhancing the look and function of both.

“Not only does our United Interiors furniture give us exactly what we want in terms of company image, it’s also very flexible when it comes to space utilization and functionality,” affirms Ms. Crane. “There are many compartments for storing smaller desktop items and multiple configurations for setting up filing systems.”

The planning, design, and installation of ACCENT’s new furniture were handled by Munson Business Interiors, a Kimball Office Select Dealer, ensuring a rapid turnaround from specification to occupation. “I can’t believe how quickly our furniture arrived after placing the order,” Ms. Crane notes. And what do employees and clients say about the new headquarters? “They love it!” states Ms. Crane. “The old adage that first impressions leave lasting impressions is definitely true. Thanks to United Interiors we couldn’t be happier with how our company is perceived by others. The growth we’re experiencing now supports the fact that investing in our office space with furniture from United Interiors was a wise decision.”
